St. Mark's News & Events for October 7, 2007

Greetings as we begin another week!

This past week a group of 10 of us attended the National Stewardship Conference held in Miami and although it rained the three days we were there, the presentations were wonderful. Some members of the newly created St. Mark Stewardship Commission along with members of the Pastoral Council and staff received excellent information that we will eventually pass onto the parish in the coming months. We were all excited about how well we were doing already and how we could enhance our parish outreach and ministries. But more importantly it reminded us once again how Stewardship is really a way of life and not a program. More on that later.

As of this writing the results of the Feasibility Study that many of you took part in regarding the building of our new Church is in its final stages and will be presented to the parish very soon. This weekend Alberto Portella will be presenting the Dream study by the various committees to the parish for your own input. I hope you will be able to add any comments and concerns regarding our new church after all the Masses.
It should be an interesting time for us all to feel a part
of the process.

Well, that is all for now. Continue to enjoy the gift that God has given us in each other.

Peace, Fr. David
